Activating the Investment Already Made

This growing community bank has deep regional roots and a clear ambition: build stronger, more personalized relationships with every customer they serve. When they invested in Marketing Cloud, that ambition had a platform. What it didn’t have yet was a plan.

Problem

Marketing Cloud had been purchased, and then it sat.

  • No live journeys.
  • No integration to the Financial Services Cloud data already in Salesforce.
  • No connection to their Fiserv core.

Executives were beginning to question the investment, and the marketing team, without clear tooling or guidance, had no runway to move forward.

Meanwhile, customer onboarding was fragmented and manual, and significant cross-sell and up-sell opportunities were sitting untouched inside an existing book of business that no one was systematically reaching.

Process

Fortimize had a clear mandate: activate what was already purchased, fast.

In six weeks, the team integrated Marketing Cloud with both Financial Services Cloud and Fiserv data using Informatica,  giving the marketing engine the customer intelligence it needed to run. Automated journeys for lead nurturing, onboarding, and post-onboarding engagement were built and launched.

Journey reporting was enabled, so results were visible from day one, and the marketing team was trained to manage and scale campaigns independently, without needing outside support to execute.

Results

What had been shelfware became a self-sustaining growth engine.

Onboarding is now automated, personalized, and consistent. Cross-sell and up-sell journeys are running against the existing book of business. Leadership regained confidence in the Salesforce platform. And the marketing team owns their campaigns for the first time.

Impact on Wealth Customers

Customers began receiving timely, relevant communications from day one of their relationship, not weeks later.

Onboarding outreach that once felt manual or generic became personalized and consistent. As cross-sell journeys activated, customers received offers that matched their actual financial picture rather than a generic campaign. The result was a more connected, more valued banking relationship across the entire book.
